I have overseen and worked on everything from full website redesigns to targeted landing pages. When doing so I employ a component-based, UX-led approach.
I work closely with other practitioners (Devs, PMs, UX) and clients alike to ensure that the proposed solutions satisfy the business goals. Often running initial UX workshops and subsequent reviews with clients and senior stakeholders.
I use research, wireframing and prototyping in my process to validate the design before we implement the build.
During the high-fidelity design stage, I involve motion designers to add depth to the experience and encourage interactions.
I motivate the design team to really question the challenge in front of them and not rely on overused design patterns from elsewhere. The solution should always match the problem.

Campaign strategy & production
Campaigns are all about storytelling and intrigue. I have worked with the likes of Dyson, Clarks, Calvin Klein & McCormick to create bespoke campaigns that deliver results across Social, eCRM, DOOH and Display.
I align with brands and their media agencies to define the strategy and media plan. Once production has begun I work with my team to ensure that the creative is inspiring, consistent and aligned with brand guidelines. I like to collaborate with a mixture of Designers, Developers & Animators to ensure that we are pushing the boundaries of HTML5, Video and media placements.

I have had the privilege of hiring, leading and mentoring teams of designers, artworkers, motion designers and UX/UI specialists. I enjoy helping them to reach their full potential and bring their creativity to the table. In order to push their skills and development I work with individuals to produce a personal development program with measurable goals using the SMART framework.
I hold 1:1s and regular appraisals to make sure the team are happy and have everything that they need in order to work effectively.
I ran a successful apprenticeship programme working with a local college - giving a young creatives an opportunity to enter the industry without a degree.
To supplement our in house teams I manage a black-book of freelancers and external agencies and kept in touch with them to keep relationships warm.
Leading teams is at the heart of what I do.

Design management
I know that designers aren't the only ones responsible for getting work done. I appreciate working with project and account managers to make sure we get things done within time and budget constraints.
I work closely with the PM team to scope out costs and timelines and will assist in the writing of Statements of work. Which helps me to produce the creative brief.
I’m keen to make sure we're approaching projects in a logical way. When it comes to assigning tasks, I'm always interested in making sure we have the right people doing the job, and that nobody's getting burnt-out. I also like to give people the chance to try new things whenever I can.
I believe that project reflections help to ensure that we are developing our processes and continue to strive towards great work.
